Bilan du Festival des Marionnettes 2017

On Sunday, September 24, the curtain fell on a 2017 edition particularly attended by the public and professionals. This shows a significant increase in ticket sales in cinemas: 54,000 tickets sold against 51,000 tickets in the previous edition.

But the Festival is also a puppet theater in the public space, with nearly 1,200 performances in and out.

300 companies from 23 different countries during 10 days confirmed once again Charleville-Mézières as the world capital of the arts of the puppet. Several shows were the subject of a tour in the region or on the national territory.

It is also 350 programmers who came to discover new companies and the latest creations: the festival is also a market for a specialized or generalist network.

In the course of the festival, alternative venues have also emerged in an ephemeral way, notably the Bateau des Fous, one of the “place to be” festival nights.

Rendez-vous in 2019, from 20 to 29 September, for the 20th edition of this exceptional festival
