6 laureates spread over three continents: Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa. The Jury, composed of 5 member cities – Tournai (Belgium), Iida (Japan), Plzen (Czech Republic), Charleville-Mézières (France), and Tolosa (Spain) – awarded a total amount of € 8000, distributed between the various winners, April 20, 2019.
Remember that these puppets and mobility fellowships were created in 2018: they are awarded for the first time in 2019.
The selected projects concern the field of puppetry arts in different aspects (research, learning, discovery, participation in a festival …) and take place primarily in or from one of the member cities, without excluding, nevertheless, other cities.
The International Association of Puppet-Friendly Cities (AVIAMA) brings together cities and local governments around the world around puppetry and represents a real network of cooperation and exchange.
