The 38th Récidives festival will take place from 10 to 13 July 2024.
Created in 1986, the Dives-sur-Mer puppet festival became RéciDives in 2013, a festival of puppet theatre and animated forms.
The RéciDives festival showcases the diversity of new forms of puppet theatre through performances and exhibitions featuring actors, puppets, objects, moving materials, animated shadows, projected images, live drawing or painting, digital technologies and music. Through these multi-faceted and unusual artistic offerings, the artists share their view of the world with the audience. They provoke emotion, questioning and reflection, and speak to us, with poetry and humour, about ourselves and our humanity. As trailblazers, they often echo the major social debates that are about to emerge. Alongside the artistic offerings, the public is invited to meet the artists, take part in children’s and parents’ workshops, enjoy some festive music and watch the TV RéciDives screenings.
