Launched in 2003 byUNIMA, World Puppet Day is both a genuine tool for promoting the puppetry arts and a project for bringing together puppetry players from the same region.
This world day seeks to promote the puppetry arts by defending, among other things, the maintenance and safeguarding of traditions and, at the same time, the renewal of the art of puppetry and theuse of puppetry as a means of ethical and aesthetic education.
Today, World Puppetry Day is celebrated all over the world, in particular through its National Centres and their members. It’s an opportunity to collectively promote the diversity of the puppetry arts as widely as possible!
